I have seen that in my own life even though we don't have kids yet. Over the years, I've learned that ...Great post! Over the years, I've learned that I don't have to be everything to everyone and that it's perfectly acceptable for me to prioritize who gets what of my time. Every Sunday, I sit down and look at my schedule and decide what I'm able to do for the week with regard to community or volunteer work. Some weeks I'm able to do more and some weeks are less but I think at the end of the day, what really matters is that we are trying.
