... To apologize to anyone I have come into contact with over the past week and a half.
I KNOW that it sounds like I am either a.) a frog, b.) a 90 year old smoker, or c.) dying of the plague, BUT, I ASSURE YOU, it is just the common cold.
I know because, despite the fact that I take my temperature approximately 17 times a day, I have yet to cross the 98.7 mark.
I know because, despite the above fact, I went to the doctor yesterday. And, even though she actually said to me "I'm glad you waited so long to come... It is really frustrating when people come in with just a little cough," I still sat there looking pathetic and basically BEGGING for a diagnosis.
Diagnosis: Common cold.
So, little ladies that I work with, please stop staring at me in the teacher's lounge like I am going to infect you with some deadly disease. I'm embarrassed, I really am. If it was my choice, I'd have Whooping Cough or something like that, at least then I could stay home from work with some legitimacy.
(I'd like to wear this on a sign around my neck... I might actually do it. Thoughts?)
my theory is that if I feel like poo, there had better be a medical diagnosis to go along with it! Hope you get to feeling better soon!

Poor you!=( I think colds are worse than certain diagnosed things because you feel like total crap but don't get the sympathy you deserve!
