Bachelor of the Week 6: Northern Edition

AHH!  Kelly posted early!  Good thing I was rarin' and ready to go!  Enjoy!

It's been a while since I've done a Bachelor of the Week post, but I'm coming back with a bang today!

First, I've got a GREAT guy for you.

And, second, I'm linking up with Kelly's Korner for "Show Us Your Single Guys" day... What better way? Really.

So, let's get started... Shall we?

I'd like to introduce you to... Bachelor #6:
"Professor Hann-some"
Perfect for you Northern gals, this 29 year old academic prepster is located in central Pennsylvania, where he is pursuing a Ph.d. in Political Science at Penn State.  He will be finished coursework in a year begin working on his dissertation and looking  for the perfect university teaching job after graduation - the sky is the limit!. With a passion for politics and history, he's always up for an insightful conversation over coffee.  But, don't worry, he doesn't take himself too seriously. In fact, his wit is probably his most charming characteristic!

Like the campus lifestyle and a deep conversation?!?!  This one's for you!!

"Professor Hann-some" is also a HUGE college football fan - rooting for Virginia Tech, Alabama, and Penn State especially.  But, when it's not "Game Day" you can find him helping out with Young Life leadership (his faith is super important to him), listening to indie music, playing tennis, or practicing his guitar.  Talk about well-rounded!

And, to top it off, some have said he looks like George Michael Bluth or Rob Bell.  So, basically, if you like Arrested Development and Jesus - you've just met Mr. Right.

He's looking for a Christian girl with similar interests who enjoys an afternoon spent at Barnes and Noble and an evening hearing a local band. If you think that might be you, just email me your contact info at e@emyselfandi.com.  Hurry and get it while it's hot!!

  3. Yay for YL leaders! I'm one down in Texas, and it takes a special kind of person. One that doesn't mind endless high school girls basketball games and explaining to the policeman why the kids kept pushing that button, not knowing it was the 911 call button.

  4. As a personal friend of Mr. Hann-some, I can attest that all of the above is true! Quite a catch, that one :)

  10. Jesus AND Arrested Development?! What are the odds? I love them both as well. I can't get enough of the Bluths. I became a Christian through Young Life when I was 16 and have loved the Lord ever since. I also love school and am hoping to pursue a doctorate of my own some day. While I'm not so much into sports, I do enjoy going to games. I love the ocean and the South, so if your brother is ever in the Charleston (SC) area, let me know. I'm 27 pushing 28, love to dance, am an interesting balance of serious and silly, like to cook, love to eat good food, enjoy summer days that seem to never end, good beer, and quality time with friends and loved ones. I'm enjoying being single, yet looking forward to being married some day (Lord willing).

    HI,
I love that Kelly did this and would like to suggest he take a look at my friend's blog where she posted pictures of a family visit with their daughter Amy(28) Amy is in Louisville,Kentucky, and works with Student Life Ministry, while pursuing her masters degree at Southern. She is one of the most lovely, fun girls we have ever met. She has a smile that lights up the room, a great sense of humor, and is incredibly selfless.
here is the blog address for my friend...

  25. I met Lee last night! How funny is that? We just moved to Penn State and a friend told me he had been on your blog (and I said, "Oh...I read that blog!"). So now matching him up with a lady is top of my priority list (Uh...I haven't exactly told him that yet...)
