Pregnancy Photos

As you may know, I have many excellent photographers in my life... And, so far, all of our major milestones have been pretty well documented in the form of some kind-of photo postcard or another.  I'm sure pregnancy will be no different...

It is probably still a little early for my pregnancy photo-shoot; but, since we got out of school early today for snow (looks like this might be a big one), and I had some extra time on my hands, I decided to post a few "inspiration photos" if you will.  Enjoy!

(From www.awkwardfamilyphotos.com - if you haven't checked it out, do!)
Now, where does a girl find a swamp and a large mermaid costume these days?

Jeff would look great in a photo like this.

This should be easy since I already own that outfit.  ;)

Wow, modern technology really has improved ultrasound quality recently.

Hahaha! Seriously though - did you take pregnancy photos?  Did you let someone in the delivery room to take "moment after" pics?  These are the important questions I'm pondering today.

... New Bachelor of the Week tomorrow!

  3. Haha...I love these pictures :) People never seize to amaze me! I agree with Brooke...I love that people have photographers during labor/delivery of the mama and family (not too graphic, but real emotions!)

  4. Oh my goodness! I did not allow anyone in my delivery room let alone to take pictures. The doctor was even lucky to get in. The experience was enough for it to be seared into mind forever. No need for the pics:)

  12. So I only know you through this blog but I'm glad to say that you are way too classy for any of those photos! Can't offer any advice on the delivery room question but I think I'd want to keep the foot traffic at a minimum...

  13. My sister-in-law made the whole family check out that site when we first announced our big news over Christmas break. I think my favorite was the mom "packing heat." So much inspiration, so little time...
As for the maternity photos, I have to say I'm not a fan. I may get some backlash from that, but I just can't see myself wanting to post those pictures really, well, anywhere. Don't get me wrong: I think pregnancy is a truly remarkable gift that we should cherish. However, I don't think taking pictures of myself as a house is the way I will want to treasure those memories. Just saying...
And let me finish this rant by telling you how much I LOVE newborn photos! I'm not into someone catching me sweating, screaming and pushing out that precious little life, but having someone to take *really good* pictures of the babies first moments is priceless. I'd love that.
