Things I Miss about Being Pregnant

1. Not having to look "not pregnant."

All my cute turtlenecks from last winter that I purposely bought too big, now beautifully accentuate my muffin top & c-section pooch.  Wonderful.

2. Maternity jeans.

Let's be honest, I'm wearing my first pair of non-maternity pants since Sam today (it only took me 16 weeks), and I'm miserable.  Whoever invented the button & zipper should be punished severely.

3. Having an excuse to eat whatever I want.

Good thing I still use breastfeeding for this one.  It might be just the motivation I need to breastfeed until Sam is five.  (JUST kidding.)

Um................

That's about all.

Happy Friday ya'll!  It's been one of those weeks... The kind where your husband is travelling, you have a sinus infection, your computer crashes, your face breaks out, and your previously "good sleeper" starts waking up three times a night....

But we made it.  More soon.

  1. Hang in there, mama!

And seriously? Keep on wearing those maternity jeans. No one will know except for you and your hubby. ;) I kept mine around for awhile to wear when we went out to eat. ;)

  3. Despite not ever having been pregnant, I already agree with #2. And since I think I've heard every single person I know (who is transitioning back to non-maternity jeans) express the same sentiment, I have to wonder: Why haven't designers picked up on the fact that NO ONE LIKES NON-MATERNITY JEANS?!?! Make all jeans more like maternity jeans!! Maybe that is the idea behind jeggings??? Only they're so tight...oh well. :)

  4. I'm a new follower and wanted to say hello!
I'm expecting right now, and I'm just now getting to that point where pregnancy is kind of enjoyable...definitely the best part is not having to suck in anymore! I will miss this ;)

  5. I'm 34 weeks this week and this morning decided I needed to start psyching myself up for not being pregnant anymore. Don't get me wrong, I've had aches and pains I didn't know were possible and I'm a tired, cranky you-know-what after about 5pm, but I love being pregnant. And I love my maternity clothes, way more than I've ever loved any other clothes. We're in for a rough winter over here.
