Two weeks ago, I was all set to write an amazing post about how great being back at work was, and how I function SO much better in routine*. Those things are absolutely still true; BUT, the last two weeks have been a lot harder, and I'm feeling pretty buried (Remember this post?)... There are a lot of people and things needing a lot of my attention right now, and I feel like I never have enough time or energy to be effective. I need a "re-set" button for life. Anyone else?
If so, here a few tiny bits of inspiration & motivation I found on Pinterest (of course):
Here's to a weekend full of good laughs, good sleep, good motivation, and good thoughts! TGIF!
Take a step back, breathe and then draft a to-do list. Prioritize the list and then start with the easiest priorities. It will help you feel accomplished!
ReplyDeleteI needed this, E. I just started my two longest weeks ever today. The "Strive for progress and not perfection" quote is what made me say, "THIS!!" and helped me calm down. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI always make a list and do the easiest/quickest things first! Crossing things off so quickly feels great!! Don't be overwhelmed...remember, everyone will survive and everything will be fine!
ReplyDeleteSo much yes to this post. I am completely overwhelmed. Although that happens to me a lot because of my disorganization! Love all the pinterest inspiration though :)
ReplyDeleteignore everything and go play candy crush....enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that Irish Proverb! It was just what I needed today. :)
ReplyDeleteJust what I needed! I usually don't even bother trying to stay motivated on Friday afternoons-- I go home and read a book or watch mindless TV. I re-motivate on Saturday.

ReplyDeleteGreat words to live by! When I am feeling really overwhelmed I make a list of all the things I need to accomplish. Then I prioritize the list and pick the "doable" ones.. checking the items off when I finish. I would also give myself Friday night to just rest and relax!
ReplyDeleteThis seems to be a common theme among everyone I talk to! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeletegood ole pinterest! progress not perfection is one I've used maybe a little too lovingly over the years :p
ReplyDeleteWow, thank you so much for this post! This is exactly what I needed to read. :)
