10 Little Confessions (& 2 "Fist Pumps")

It's been about a month since my last Midweek Confessions post, and I'm a little rusty.  So, I thought I'd get back in the saddle today with ten "little" confessions...

1. I wear too much blush.  I can't even tell you how many times Jeff has politely reminded me to "rub in" my cheeks.  #lovehim

2. I eat peanut butter right out of the jar with a spoon and my weakness is McDonald's french fries.

3. I use Sweet n' Low in my coffee even though I know it's like the worst thing in the world.

4. I leave dishes in the sink overnight A LOT.

5. I NEVER iron.  (We do have a steamer, so my clothes don't look totally awful; but, they also don't look totally polished.)

6. I take a nap at least four times a week.

7. I have a reputation among my students of taking a REALLY long time to grade and return assignments.

8. I'm late just about everywhere I go.

9. I get overwhelmed and behind on responding to blog comments, and I feel really guilty about it.  (Please don't stop them though! I read every single one and SO appreciate them!)

10. I am so much more laid back and enjoyable to be around than I was four or five years ago; BUT, almost every day a part of me aches for my former "Type A"/ productive self.

And, just to make sure I don't fall into the pit of insecurity after that little exercise (j/k - kinda), here are two things I'm pretty proud of right now:

* I haven't had a Diet Coke in 15 days.

* My Christmas decorations are all put away and my house feels clean and fresh.

What about you?  I'd love to hear 10 little confessions from you... This took me all of ten minutes; so, don't over think it... Just write!  (Linky below.)

Happy Hump Day!

  2. I was totally the same way with grading assignments when I was teaching. Or I'd grade EVERYTHING before essays/projects. Non-English teachers don't understand just how long that takes.

  3. I kind of REALLY like that you ended with two positive notes. I love me some confessions but it's always good to get a little pick-me-up too!

  4. Thanks for such a nice comment on the blog! I love reading yours : )
I am a Coke Zero girl and did SO well for a few weeks after Christmas- we were gifted a soda stream & I was drinking that instead. Then I discovered one in the pantry. Darn. So jealous of your nap schedule!

  5. Love these! Love you!

    - I STILL haven't finished watching the bachelor from Monday night... every night my husband comes upstairs and finds me passed out with the TV on

    - I have NOT read a book in forever (so sad but so true). I really want to read more. I started Divergent yesterday on my Kindle Phone app .... baby steps

  6. 1. I just stopped typing up a medicaid required, time sensitive report, to type these.. because I'm already "over today..." I've only been at work since 8:45.

    2. I still have "peanut butter parties" even without you- only now, they aren't "parties" they are fat fests #andimokwiththat

    3. I use hashtags where they don't belong

    4. I drink 2 cups of coffee (with truvia) and drink 2 diet cokes before 11:00am EVERY day.

    5. I still use the quiet game with my kids at work...and they fall for me (so maybe that is something I should be really proud of)

    6. I too take takes every day

    7. I talk about reality "stars" like they are my real life best friends (especially anything on Bravo); not only that.. I get ENTIRELY too defensive if anyone makes fun of the ones that I like.

    8. I chew AT LEAST 40 pieces of gum a day.. even when I'm sleeping

    9. Every day I stare at the couch in my office and wonder how bad it would be to just take a cat nap #noonewouldmissmefor15minutes

  7. So this should have been one of my confessions, I am a total blog stalker but NEVER comment... Lol unless it is a contest and then maybe I'll think about it. But I found your blog when my now four month old daughter was born and basically read every post during early morning feedings... I LOVE your blog, especially the new baby posts, and I totally related to so much of what you said! So I will definitely be sticking around and hopefully commenting a little bit more!
