I am happy to report (albeit a day late) that I completed the Flat Belly Diet 4 Day Anti-Bloat and was down 5.4 pounds from my starting weight - which, I love you guys, but not enough to report! :) It's not 35, but I'm VERY happy with this loss... It is definitely motivating and encouraging - two things I have not felt in regards to my weight in a LONG time!
This is Mary Ann (from the website), but it will be me soon! (At least in some ways.)
It was NOT a fun four days --- I'm just going to put that out there. (Although, it was MUCH better than that blasted Lemonade Detox I did in college with my roommates... haha! What an experience!) But, it did serve its purpose. I realized how much LESS my body really can survive off of, and helped "train" my mind and tastebuds about healthier meals.
Yesterday, I started the 4x4 part of the plan:
4 meals a day
400 calories per meal
every 4 hours
for 4 weeks (then it starts all over again with the detox)
*PLUS, each meal is supposed to include a healthy fat like sunflower seeds, olive oil, avocado, etc.

After last week, this seems VERY reasonable. (I will admit, however, that I splurged on a little Taco Delight last night... back on the wagon today!)
I also plan to start working out again this week. Umm... remember that 10K I signed up for? It is three weeks away. I can run approximately one mile without stopping. Obviously, I have a lot to do.
I will keep you updated with my progress since I know some of you are considering trying it out yourself. (If you do, PLEASE let me know... I'd love to hear your feedback and hold each other accountable.)
Until then, thanks for all your support!! (And, don't forget to enter my Larque By Jason earring giveaway.)
Oooh i love your blog! I came over here from MannLand5, i voted for your room btw! :)
ReplyDeleteI have 2 blogs, a regular one & a weight loss one! I'm losing weight! Slowly, but still. I read the Flat Belly Diet book & couldn't do it - but i learned SO MUCH about good fats & bad fats & all that. :) Kudos to you for sticking to it!
Congrats on winning rate my space! Your blog is really cute and fun...I'm your newest follower!
ReplyDeletegirl... the 10K. Don't worry... I'm sure no matter what you will be in a better place than me because right now I cannot go an hour without EATING. I could run it in an hour, except that I haven't been working out - I've just been eating and sleeping. Or I could walk it, except that I'll have to carry a fanny pack with snacks. this is going to be quite hilarious.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on winning rate my space...and on your weight loss! Cute blog!
