Welcome to 2014 friends! I hope you had a fantastic night. I'm up early today enjoying some quiet time with my cup of coffee and my computer before its back to the grind tomorrow...
As is customary, I've been thinking about my plans and goals for 2014. The truth is, I'm really not very good at resolutions. (I think the only one I ever actually followed through with was my vow to 'watch more TV' in 2012. Haha.) Yet, still, the formerly Type-A gal in me can't resist a chance to clear the tape and start fresh at the beginning again every year...
When I think about 2014 - where I am, where I want to be - the word that comes to mind is... LESS.
Stuff.
Pressure.
Chemicals.
Waste.
Obligations.
Excuses.
Stress.
Junk.
Procrastination.
Clutter.
Worry.
Talk.
Doubt.
It is going to be a good year.
What is your resolution? Do you have a word for the year?

This year is going to be about taking control of my health, my time, and my passions and letting go of all the things that get in the way of that. I'm excited for a year of less in 2014.
It is going to be a good year.
(Hopefully, I'll be writing lots more about this throughout the year and will label those posts with that pretty little "less" banner. Look for em.)

Happy new year!! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! Love the banner and LOVE the idea of LESS!
ReplyDeleteI want to focus on...
less screen time
less clutter (in every sense of the word)
less sugar (I have been researching sugar detox for the part half hour - so much for less screen time...haha)
Can't wait to follow your journey of less...
That is such a great way to sum it all up! I am way too wordy to pick a single word but my big goal is to start my masters this year, have more focused quiet time and time reading the bible, and the usual work out/eat healthy goal.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Such a great word for the year! Wishing you a happy, beautiful, blessed year!
