I'm Sorry... And Crazy

So, my blog isn't private any more.  That lasted a long time.

I am SO sorry for all the drama - really - but, ya'll, I just can't do it.  I had such an overwhelming response to my post yesterday and have been getting emails from you guys ALL day.  Everything was fine and good until I realized that Blogger would only let me have 100 private readers - how's a girl to choose? Honestly, I was way more stressed about not being able to blog and keep up this great community than I really was about my students reading.

I'm probably crazy, but... I'm going to risk it.

So, consider that a false alarm.  I guess the system is still set-up if I ever want/need to go back... But, I'm here to stay for a little bit.

And, dear students, if you are reading this... I'm glad you are so interested in my life.  I think there are probably a lot more interesting blogs out there for you to read (and it's a little weird that you even care about what your teacher is doing outside of school), but... at least you are reading something - isn't that the goal of most English teachers anyway?  So, you aren't being a rebel.  I know you are out there.  Be good.  Finish your exam study guides for tomorrow.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Chapman

  1. Glad your back! I love reading your blog! Sometimes I wonder if I'm going to have to make my blog private when I start teaching? I'm not sure what I will do...

  2. hahaha... you crack me up. mostly because i can hear you in my head saying all of this. just don't post your address or anything. i'm sure it will be fine... and certainly worth the 100+ readers! You are well on your way to being a professional blogger, my friend :-)

  3. Don't you wish you could just block certain people?! Or make it so only people who are currently 'following' can see you

  5. I'm glad you've gone public again, and I think you were definitely right about this just being a temporary phase with your students. They'll be stalking someone else before you know it!

  7. Maybe you can start a new blog for a while... and then after a month or so go back to this one...that way it's not private and can still follow you there, but your students won't track it??? either way, I'm glad that you're back!
