Carpe Diem is not for young moms

This made me laugh; sometimes a little "h-word" is good for that. (Source)
Amanda sent me a link to an editorial from the Huffington Post by blogger Glennon Melton this morning.  If you are a young mom - shoot, even if you might be one day or used to be one - PLEASE do yourself a favor and go read this. Right now. Seriously.

So good.  So funny. So true.

And while you're at it, check out her blog MomasteryLove the tagline. (I just realized that this is probably old news... Everyone is probably already following this and I'm just now getting on the train.  Whatever.)

Happy Friday! Thanks again for all the MC posts this week!

  1. I read this the other day, and it made me laugh because it's so true! As much as I love my little guy, and I love being a mom, it is HARD WORK! There are definitely "magic, angel-singing" moments everyday, but there are also "I'm going to pull the hair out of my head" moments everday.

  2. Love this! I am just joining the mom train (first baby due in 10 weeks), so I haven't found anyone's great mom blogs yet. I'm a procrastinator. You keep me updated. :)

    Happy Friday.

  3. As the mother of a 20 month old, I can totally relate to Glennon's post. She's awesome. Mothering small children is not for the faint of heart, and I appreciate her honesty about this fun AND challenging time in a young mom's life.
