So, I'm not off to a great start. Sorry friends! Obviously, when I made the decision to write for 31 days straight on the subject of "healthy living," I wasn't thinking about the weekend I had ahead of me... Oh well, tomorrow is a new day. And, getting up and starting over is what healthy living is all about in my book. :)
Anyway,
The Good...
On Saturday morning, I participated in a Party in Pink Zumbathon for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation at my gym. We danced for two straight hours, and it was SO fun! Plus, we earned $7500 for an awesome cause! You can't get much healthier than that!

Overall, it was a wonderful way to start the weekend. I absolutely LOVE Zumba! Seriously, I've never enjoyed exercise, but I look forward to this every.single.week. And, if you saw me after a class, you'd know that it is a REALLY good work out too!! If you haven't tried it, I urge you to find a class! It is wonderful! (Read my post here, if you'd like more information.)
The Bad...
After the Zumbathon, we had a super busy day getting ready for our annual Oktoberfest party. (Update tomorrow.) And... Jeff and I snuck a trip to Wendy's for lunch/dinner. I ate a spicy chicken sandwich and split a large fry with Jeff. BAD.
And, the UGLY...
The eating really never stopped after that. I hung out at the food table a lot last night; and, Jeff got the wild idea to bake cookies this afternoon and leave me at home alone with them. NOT pretty.
Thank goodness tomorrow is a fresh start!!!
How was your weekend?
I love Zumba. Even for the rythmically challenged (such as myself) it was such a fun class! Unfortunately, I don't have gym membership in my unemployment budget, so I've had to take a break.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you had so much fun! That looks like a blast!
