Can You See Me?

So... I think I'm private now. Can you see me?  (Seriously.)

I'm having a lot of doubts about this whole decision...For starters, stupid Blogger only allows me to have 100 readers at a time - WHY?  The response to my last post was so overwhelming... I absolutely HATE that I actually had to "not invite" people. (This is also why I went ahead with the switch earlier than I'd originally planned. Why delay the pain?)  Ugg, this is miserable.  I assure you, it will not last long... Tell people to not give up on me - OK?!?

BUT... I'm glad you're here!!  THANK YOU (again).

I promise I'll stop talking about this ridiculous "privatization" now... And get to more fun things like BABIES! :)

Speaking of which, Poppy referred to our little baby (via ultrasound) as a "dog" several times today.  I'm not sure how I feel about this.  Additionally, one of my students has also taken to calling me "preggers."  He seems unaffected by my feelings about this term and Britney Spears.  It is going to be a long few months...

  1. ok, i feel even more special now that i get to read your private blog! Haha. It does suck that they only allow 100 readers for private blogs. I don't understand that!

Love hearing all the baby stuff. We're going to start "trying" (i hate saying that!) in March. I'm excited! I've had baby fever for a LONNNNG time (since April or May of 2010) but my husband is just now getting on the same page! =)

I don't mind "preggers" but i will try to refrain from using it over here! Haha.

  3. Quite glad I made the cut! ;) I don't think I would enjoy being called preggers, either.... of course, I'm still on my journey to actually getting to be pregnant (I'm not trying very hard, though, so I can't complain), so I don't really know. Anyway, hopefully it will be a quick trip as students forget about your blog. A question - how did you get so good at blogging? :)

  5. So glad I am part of the "selected few!" I hate the words "preggers" and "preggo" too.

  6. I see you! I had to actually check your page - no posts showed up on my reader feed. I was wondering how it was going to work, since another blog that I follow does protected posts but they still show up on my feed.

I'm excited to continue following! And no worries... the only type of abbreviation I would use is "pg", only because it's quick and easy to type. No preggers or preggo here!

  7. Glad I got this to work and I made the cut. I think its the right decision for right now give it a few weeks and those teenagers will have something new to focus on

  8. It is a shame you can't invite as many people as you want!! I made my original blog private for a while and then decided to make a brand new blog that didn't include our real names. That kept people (real life people) from finding it with google. I'm sure I lost some readers in the switch but it was worth it to me so that I could blog away without worrying about being so out in the open.

  9. I can see you. And I'm glad I made the cut. And I HATE the term "preggers" also. I think it makes a mockery of pregnancy, although I have absolutely no way to explain why I feel this way. I just do.

  11. Okay, I have NO idea if you added me or not (or even know me? hello??) haha--but you show up in my reader and I didn't comment on your last post with my email. So...does that mean it isn't private? I'm only letting you know because I'm a teacher too--and if i THOUGHT it was private and it wasn't I'd want someone to know ;) If you added me because you wanted too-then awesome!

  12. I can see you, but I'm not quite sure it's private. I got the email and when I hit the link it provides to confirm I can read you, it found an error with the link. So I came here to check and I am still able to read your blog without the link I was sent working. I think Katie's comment above might be right. If it isn't private yet & you get it figured out my email is twinkietotmom@cfl.rr.com again :) I don't wanna miss out so I hope I make any cuts you have to do! Man, these kids of ours (referring to school) really put us through a hoop sometimes don't they!?

  15. I can see you and I'm so excited because I wasn't invited! I was sick for a few days so I missed all the posts about going private and was just so sad to think I couldn't follow you anymore! So.... if it's a mistake that I'm seeing this, please email me so I can keep following! barrelnutt@yahoo.com
