Cheap Art (Part 1)

I'm no Design Sponge or The Shabby Nest, but I've got a few thrifty decorating ideas up my sleeves...

Here's the first of a little summer series I'm starting on "Cheap Art Ideas."

#1: Fabric Covered Bulletin Board

Bulletin Board - $9.00 (Wal-Mart)
Fabric - $5.00 for 1 yard (JoAnn Fabrics)
Old school stapler and staples

Grand Total = $14.00

#2: Framed Paper

High Quality Wrapping Paper - $2.75/Sheet - $8.25
Basic Black Poster Frames - $8.00/Each - $15.00
Windex & Scissors

Grand Total = $23.25

Nothing fancy, but fun, no?!?

What "Cheap Art" ideas do you have?  I've got plans for a few more next week, but I'd love to post pictures of yours too.  Email me if you want to share!

  2. cute!! love the colors in your kitchen :) I've used fabric to dress up cheap book cases. Just pop off the back, staple some cute fabric to it, pop it back on, and voila!

  5. I love the framed paper idea! I did something similar with scrapbook paper in my bedroom, although I must prefer how you did it (larger, with wrapping paper). I may have to try it!
